Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 : FLIGHT TO ISTANBUL

Arrival, Meet at airport with Guide, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

DAY 2 : ISTANBUL

After breakfast, departure to visit the city’s cultural pearls, works that mark the passage of different empires through the city. We start the tour with the ancient Roman Hippodrome and then we go to the Blue Mosque: masterpiece of Ottoman architecture. After visiting the mosque, continue to enter the historical center of the city, where you can see the variety of remains of different empires. Imposing Topkapi Palace: Served as the main residence and administrative seat of the Ottoman Sultans, Hagia Sophia: The Cathedral of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, with its majestic Byzantine architecture, The Grand Bazaar: One of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, where haggling The basilica cistern has a long tradition: with more than 300 marble columns rising above the water. Overnight stay in Istanbul.

DAY 3 : ISTANBUL – CAPPADOCIA : BY HIGH SPEED TRAIN (YHT) TO KONYA

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel by express train YHT (approx. 4.5 hours) across the Anatolian plateau to Konya. Arrived in Konya, meet our bus at the train station and drive to the city where we will have lunch break. Then we visit the Mevlana Monastery in Konya, the Museum of the Whirling Dervishes and continue by bus to Cappadocia. On the way we visit the Sultanhanı Caravanserai, from the Selchuk period. In the evening we reach Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 4: CAPPADOCIA

Today we visit this wonderful region with its fascinating landscape. Visit the countless monasteries and chapels of Goreme, carved out of the rock and decorated with frescoes. Visit the valleys of the region and enjoy the view of the “fairy chimneys”. Visit an underground city built by the ancient local communities to protect themselves from attack. Visit a typical Cappadocian jewelry and stone center. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Optionally, the hot air balloon ride and Turkish folk dance show can be booked.

DAY 5: CAPPADOCIA

Today you will hike through the beautiful valleys of Cappadocia and experience unforgettable moments. The hiking routes are easy to moderate (sturdy shoes are required). Afterwards you will visit Avanos, the oldest and most famous pottery town in Anatolia. During today’s tour you can capture “lunar landscape” of Cappadocia photographically. Overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 6: CAPPADOCIA – ISTANBUL

After breakfast, transfer to Kayseri Airport for flight to Istanbul. At the airport we meet our bus and drive to the village where we start our Bosphorus cruise. We will enjoy the wonderful views of the Ottoman forts, palaces, mansions and the bridges that connect both sides of this city.

After boat ride we will visit Spice Bazaar, a place with special charm due to its color and flavors. Afterwards drive to Suleyman Mosque which has the largest dome of all mosques in Istanbul. Overnight stay in Istanbul.

DAY 7: ISTANBUL : PRINCESS ISLAND AND TELECOMMUNICATION TOWER

The full day tour from Istanbul gives you a chance to relax on one of the Princes’ Islands and spend time in a peaceful place full of natural beauty. Also known as Adalar, the archipelago consists of 9 islands, of which you will visit the largest. There you can learn about Greek, Armenian and Ottoman houses and life cultures and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local fish restaurant.

By Municipal Line Boat we cruise the largest island of the Princes’ Islands, Buyukada, translated as Big Island, has several historical buildings including the Ayia Yorgi Church, the 6th-century Monastery, the Ayios Dimitrios Church and that of Abdul Hamid II built Hamidiye Mosque. The island was once the famous place of exile of the Byzantine empresses Irene, Euphrosyne, Theophano, Zoe and Anna Dalassena. Leon Trotsky also stayed there 4 years after his deportation from the Soviet Union in 1929. There you will have some free time to wander around on your own. Then we go by boat to the Asian district of Bostanci and meet our bus, which we take to Camlica Hill.

A communications tower with viewing platforms and restaurants has recently been built on the hill. The total height of the tower is 587 meters above sea level; it holds the title of the tallest structure in Istanbul and in Europe. Let’s visit the Telecommunications Tower and enjoy the views of Istanbul from there. With that we end the day and return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Istanbul

DAY 8: FLIGHT BACK

Transfer to the airport and departure.
